The washing machines and dryers are operated by payment cards and do not take coins. This means that you don't have to worry about finding the right change, or deal with the annoying problem of coins being rejected by the machines.
At the beginning of your tenancy you will need to buy a card from the dispenser in reception. The current cost is £10.00, which includes a one-off £2.00 administration fee. You therefore have £8.00 worth of credit to use in the laundry. The dispenser takes coins and bank notes but does not give change. When your credit runs out you can top up on the following website:
If you're visiting the Circuit site for the first time you'll need to set up a personal account. Credit is bought using PayPal - if you don't have a PayPal account you can pay as a PayPal 'guest' using a credit or debit card. After the payment is accepted you receive a top-up code by email.
Please enter this code into the top-up machine’s keypad, along with your card, before using the laundry. The top-up machine is located on the right-hand side of the laundry room. You can also use it to check the balance on your card at any time.
The whole process is explained clearly on the Circuit website and there are contact details in case anything goes wrong.
On the Circuit website click on the 'LaundryView' link to see which machines are free, or how long it will be before a machine becomes available. You can also see the progress of your own laundry and receive an email alert when the wash or dry cycle is complete.
Dry: £1.00 per 50-minute cycle.
